Thank you for your interest in our Religious Education Program in the Catholic Cluster. This page highlights the wide variety of Religious Education opportunities and Sacramental programs available for our children and youth within our cluster parishes.
Due to the COVID-19, this year we will be offering in-person sessions for our children who are in need of a sacrament and a Family Faith Based Catechesis.
We encourage all parents to register for the Family Faith Based Catechesis and explore the power of the domestic church. Registering for the Family Faith Based Catechesis will assist us in knowing ahead of time, how many packets we need to create every month, and will ensure that you receive your family packet every month. We will be tying the weekly activities into our weekend Masses and we invite you to participate in the many ways of interaction with us with each activity. You can also invite Fr. Joe or Fr. Julz to complete an activity with your family for a given weekend or weekday.
The sacramental preparation groups will meet every other Sunday of every month from 10:45 A.M. to 12:45 P.M. in-person.
The Sacrament of First Holy Communion (children 7 years or older) will begin on November 2020.
The RCIA - Rite of Christian Initiation for Children (any child who is 7 years or older and has not been baptized) will begin on November 2020.
The Sacrament of Confirmation (teens 15 years or older) began in October 2020.
Make sure to register your child. This will allow us to plan accordingly and assure your child is enrolled in the Sacramental program he/she needs for the 2020-2021 Formation Year.
FAMILY-BASED CATECHESIS REGISTRATION
Family Faith Based Catechesis will begin in November 2020 through August 2021. The Family Faith Based Catechesis will consist of pre-packed monthly activities for the families. These activities will include:
Fun interactive activities
Registration is open for all families with children in Pre-K through 12th grade. This will always ensure that your family has a packet ready to be picked up on the first weekend of each month. These packets will be available from November 2020 through August 2021.
The Religious Education Program helps all children know God in Christ as the fulfillment of their deepest desire. It provides religious & spiritual guidance, inspiration, and support in the children’s journey with Christ so that they may incorporate their faith in all aspects of their daily life. Three critical elements of our program and ministry are:
Enabling the experience of God.
Living in a Christian community.
Connecting our faith with our daily lives.
In doing so, the children will come to have a lasting relationship with God and not just know about God. In the Religious Education Program, we implement the Diocesan based Catholic Education Curriculum. It instills Christian values to our young believers. The program is designed for children and youth Pre-K through 12th grade. A core group of volunteers who serve as Catechists and Aides use the Christian values and sacramental teaching with the children to deepen their awareness of the Catholic Faith. These volunteers are dedicated and committed to assisting in the development of this relationship with God.
