OUR MISSION:
The Religious Education Program helps every child to know God and grow in a relationship with Him. It provides religious & spiritual guidance, and supports the child’s journey with Christ so that he/she may incorporate his/her faith in all aspects of their daily life. Three critical elements of our program and ministry are:
Enabling the experience of God.
Living in a Christian community.
Connecting our faith with our daily lives.
The child comes to have a lasting relationship with God. In the Religious Education Program, we implement the Diocesan based Catholic Education Curriculum. It instills Christian values to our young believers.
A core group of volunteers serve as Catechists and Aides. They use the Christian values and sacramental teaching with the child to deepen his/her awareness of the Catholic Faith. These volunteers are dedicated and committed to assisting in the development of this relationship with God.
We are currently in need of volunteers to help lead the classes at St. James & Sacred Heart. If you want to help contact Marissa. You will need the Virtus training and the background check. We will provide you the materials and lessons you will need every week.
If you have any questions, suggestions, or concerns feel free to contact Marissa Ayala, CRE.
